Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle has been left heartbroken after Meena Jutla murdered Ben Tucker.
The serial killer claimed her fourth victim during scenes airing on tonight's episode, and in some first look pictures, when Aaron (Danny Miller) returns to the house, he realises what terrible events have occurred.
Ben (Simon Lennon) has been coming increasingly close to realising just what happened during Super Soap Week, which saw Meena (Paige Sandhu) attempt to drown Victoria Sugden as she wanted her boyfriend David.
Ben found a waterproof camera with footage of Meena trying to drown Victoria but he couldn't quite work out its significance.
But in a first look at the tragic scenes, Aaron returns home and is confused by a huge emergency service presence outside the house. Realising something really bad has happened, his heart is broken as he sees the tragic scenes unfolding in front of him.
Tears roll down Aaron's face as he notices how personal this tragedy has just become for him. In new pictures, he is visibly emotional as he he sees Ben's lifeless body in front of him.
Ben is Meena's fourth victim, after she murdered Andrea Tate in the maize maze recently.
Andrea was killed by Meena after she saw her try and kill Victoria Sugden after the bridge collapsed. Victoria was trying to keep her head above water after the accident but Meena wanted her dead in a row over her boyfriend David.
Fans had hoped that Meena might have been finally bought to justice after the video resurfaced.
Ben actor Simon Lennon had previously hinted his character could end up killing Meena, as he "fights his way out".
"I mean ultimately it's whether things happen there or there's more that comes from that as well, because if she slips and cracks her head open, and passes away, that's not on him," he told The Mirror.
"There's really a sort of clever moment where Meena talks about the fact people hurt people, and it’s things they have in common and that's a moment where Ben [realises] he's in it now, and the only way out is to fight his way out.
"As we've learned with stuff at the HOP, your word is as good as nothing when trying to plead your own innocence. If ultimately something bad happens to her, what does that mean for him and how again would he prove his innocence?"
Ben's death sees Meena claim her fourth victim - but will she get away with another murder - and how will Aaron cope with the loss of Ben?
Emmerdale airs on ITV at 7pm on Friday 26th November.
