Emmerdale's Meena Jutla set to cause chaos in 'final act' of evil

Emmerdale's village villain Meena Jutla is set to have her day in court next week.

She is set to stand trial soon for her huge list of crimes, including the murders of Leanna Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate. But she won't face justice quietly as she is expected to cause chaos in a 'final act' of evil as she takes stand in court.

Meena (Paige Sandhu) is set to drop a bombshell as she acts as if she's on a theatre stage while facing judge and jury. She will create emotional turmoil amongst the other characters of the ITV soap once more.

Meena holds nothing back next week as she turns on Liam (Jonny McPherson), leaving him shocked when her team tells the jury that they were having an affair. Fighting back the tears as he begins his testimony and talks about his daughter, the jury are sympathetic towards Liam, but everything changes when the defence accuse him of having an affair with Meena - provoking an outraged Liam to lash out at her.

Soap expert Sharon Marshall appeared on Tuesday’s This Morning to chat to hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond about what viewers could expect to see in upcoming episodes. Speaking of Meena, she said: "She’s back. She’s going to lie, she’s going to stand there looking like butter wouldn’t melt and claim she had an affair with Liam.

"He’s so enraged he flips out - is that going to lose him the jury? It’s going to be good. One last final act. It’s just been a warm-up so far.”

Liam's partner Leyla will also surprisingly be missing from court as the trial draws to an end. Leyla's disappearing act stands out to her peers, given that she's been there for her husband Liam every step of the way while he fights for justice for daughter Leanna.

But as Meena takes to the stand, putting on a grand performance and looking to win the jury over with her outrageous version of events, portraying herself as the victim, will justice finally be served? Everyone will be waiting in an agony of suspense to find out the final verdict.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
