Emmerdale's Meena in 'tough position' as fans predict her crimes will be exposed

Emmerdale's Meena Jutla is in a "tough position", actress Paige Sandhu has warned.

The serial killer has embarked on a reign of terror on the ITV soap over the past 12 months, with her latest victim being sister Manpreet Sharma - who she has kidnapped and is holding hostage.

Meena has ensured the grisly end of a number of villagers including Leanna Cavanagh, Ben Tucker and Andrea Tate, as well as an old friend called Nadine and fans fear she will go on to kill many more.

However, she has yet to bump off her own sibling Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker).

Speaking about her character, actress Paige said: "Meena is sort of in a tough position because she really doesn't want to want Manpreet to die because she loves her, in Meena's way.

"I think Meena really wanted to Manpreet to slip away gently, even though that's really painful for her to lose her sister, but it just means she doesn't have to kill her."

She added: "The idea of starting again with Manpreet and Manpreet also accepting Meena for who she is, that's really desirable."

Fans of the ITV soap were shocked when Meena confessed her crimes to sister Manpreet and they've been left convinced that she will now have to die if Meena wants to keep her crimes a secret.

"I want you to look at me. I want to see your face when I say their names. Now, there was quite a gap between Nadine and Leanna. But when the moment came I was so ready for it," Meena chillingly told her sister.

"She really should have kept her nose out of my business. Then after Leanna there was Andrea - magic number three. See just before I killed her she let off the flare gun that set off the fire in the maze. Helped cover up my involvement - lucky me, eh?"

She added: "How about Ben. Poor, sweet little Ben. I’d been caught on one of his little camera things trying to drown Victoria by the waterfall and there we go. Four not out. You’d think they get easier but they don’t. What am I talking about - they totally get easier."
