Emmerdale's Maya Stepney to groom second teen in sick plot twist

Maya Stepney has left Emmerdale viewers utterly sickened over the last few months - but it looks like her grooming it set to take another sinister turn.

The teacher, played by Louisa Clein, will plan to use Noah Dingle in a desperate bid to make Jacob jealous.

But her vile stirring could come back to bite her.

Her shocking grooming of 16-year-old Jacob will finally be exposed after the final nasty plot twist.

Maya has left many viewers disturbed as the twisted teacher slowly groomed her student and even had sex with him for the first time early this month.

The ITV soap has worked closely with children's charity Bernado's to help highlight the devastating impact of grooming and the manipulative nature of abusers.

Relishing the attention, manipulative Maya wants Jacob to win her affection after hinting that she is interested in Noah.

Teens Jacob and Noah end up appearing to compete for her affections before the former eventually confronts his friend about his relationship with their teacher.

Tracy Metcalfe will finally be the one to catch them in bed after the pair spent lunchtime having sex.

Actress Louisa previously hinted that her character Maya would go to a next disturbing level with her sexual abuse of Jacob.

In an interview with Lorraine Kelly, she said: "There is a lot more to go but it's going to go to a next level."

She also revealed that she had tried to get "some understanding" of her character in why she was doing what she was doing.

"We don't want to tell a romantic, titillating storyline," she said. "We are telling it slowly and people don't notice it when it happens slowly."

Louisa explained: "[Maya] has this veneer of being a professional... there is nothing screaming 'dirty old man'."
