Emmerdale's Manpreet Sharma attempted to cover her own back on Thursday, as she confessed to loving someone other than her husband.
Rishi Sharma recently forgave Manpreet for her lies, after it emerged she had once allowed a past fiancé to believe she was dead.
Vicar Charles Anderson arrived in the village recently and was gobsmacked to come face-to-face with his missing ex Saira, who had vanished on their wedding day over a decade earlier.
It turned out Saira was in fact none other than Manpreet and she was very much alive, and already married with a child in a troubled marriage.
Despite wanting to leave her husband for Charles, Manpreet felt she couldn't and vanished off the face of the earth.
In recent weeks, Charles has forgiven Manpreet who has remained with Rishi - but viewers began to notice she seemed to still have feelings for her ex.
This was confirmed on Thursday night, when she blurted out she still loved Charles, but what she did next left viewers fuming.
Manpreet tried to force Charles out of the village, telling him he had to leave and never come back because of her feelings for him.
Wanting to make things work with Rishi, before admitting later on that she felt too guilty to end their marriage, she told Charles the truth about how she felt about him before telling him he had to go.
He refused, before completely rejecting her as she tried to force him into telling her that he felt the same.
Charles told her as a vicar, he would never act on any feelings he might have and refused to give into her demands.
Later, Manpreet went back to Rishi and said nothing, before telling him how she wanted them to get married again - despite clearly not loving him.
Fans could not believe she would hurt Rishi in that way, or treat Charles so badly given what she did to him all those years ago.
