Emmerdale's Manpreet makes surprise final decision as Meena prepares for trial

Manpreet Sharma made a surprise decision on Emmerdale tonight - after running away following Meena's pre-trial court hearing.

Meena faced the judge for the first time, where she pleaded guilty to 15 of her charges - but pleaded not guilty to the three murders of Ben Tucker, Andrea Tate and Leanna Cavanagh. That meant Manpreet would have to testify to Meena's confession, as the serial killer had revealed all of what she did to her sibling as she held her captive.

During last night's show, Manpreet struggled with the pressure after finding out Meena's pleas and ran away after suffering two panic attacks, promising Charles Anderson she was off to the doctors to get checked up.

After going missing at the end of last night's episode of Emmerdale, Manpreet was finally found tonight after she disappeared into the woods. A huge search was called to look for her - with the likes of Priya, Liam and Leyla getting involved in it all. Charles, worried sick, was also adamant he would help too, despite being told by his friends to rest after being up all night.

It was Priya who ended up locating the car and she quickly called a worried Charles, who begged her to keep looking. However, it was her ex Rishi who found her, knowing exactly where she would be in her moment of panic and anguish.

As they spoke, Manpreet admitted she couldn't testify in the trial, as she worried she wouldn't be able to secure the conviction and everyone would blame her for Meena not getting put away for her crimes, if it came to that.

Rishi called Charles and asked him to come by, as the pair sat down and spoke and Manpreet explained to the vicar why she couldn't go through with it. Understanding her decision, Charles encouraged her to put herself first and she decided it would be best if she didn't testify, giving Meena a huge chance of being found not guilty of the three murders as it goes to trial.

Meena appeared in court yesterday, where she pleaded guilty to 15 of the charges including the kidnapping and attempted murder of her sister Manpreet Sharma as well as the attempted murder of Leyla Cavanagh.

However, she pleaded not guilty to the three murders she was charged with - despite causing the deaths of Andrea Tate, Ben Tucker and Leanna Cavanagh. Her trial is set to take place in the coming weeks.
