Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has revealed the lengths Mandy Dingle will go to, as she refuses to trust her ex Paul.
She continues to push him away in upcoming scenes, and is left frustrated when other villagers aren't against him like she is.
Paul wants to start again with Mandy after their recent intimate moment, but Mandy still holds a grudge over him walking out on her and his son Vinny years ago.
Newcomer Paul made a surprise arrival earlier this year. He was looking for his son, only for ex Mandy to lie that he wasn't with her.
Paul soon spotted him though and posed as a man named Alex to get close to him, before revealing his true identity.
While Vinny is keen to get to know his dad after he explained the real reason he walked out on them when he was a child, Mandy still isn't ready to forgive and forget.
Now, Mandy actress Lisa has revealed how far she goes to make him look the bad guy, clearly not ready to let him back in.
She's set to expose his big secret to the villagers too, after he recently confided in her and Vinny about why he really left.
Paul has battled a gambling addiction, something that hasn't left him, with Mandy left to pick up the pieces when his huge debts led to him doing a runner.
Speaking to Mirror online recently, Lisa revealed Mandy would turn "mean" in her desperation to expose Paul over his past.
She said: "What will be interesting when we do move forward is when she doesn't get her own way, she can be quite mean.
"Mandy is gonna let the village know about Paul’s addiction and see how that turns out."
Lisa went on: "That’s a real sort of bullet of one of the lengths of how mean Mandy can be, but again it is coming from a good place and frustration.
"You know it's that, ‘Why is no one believing me?’ so we switch it there."
Paul actor Reece Dinsdale also shared his character's true reasons for heading to the village, saying: "He's ready to come back, his intentions are good.
"He wants to make amends and really has the hots for her. He just thinks she's fabulous."
"He wants to make amends, and at the back of his mind it’s that, ‘I love this lass, she's fantastic’."
Reece went on: "He knows she is not gonna be a pushover.
"He thinks it is worth persevering with her, he knows how good she was for him in the past, and realises very quickly how good she’s been for Vinny."
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
