Emmerdale 's Lydia Dingle made her tough decision at last as she realised she needed to take the test for Huntingon's disease.
She has been losing her temper in the extreme at husband Sam Dingle, who has been at a loss of what to do.
Confiding in Chas about her recent mood swings, Lydia, played by Karen Blick, said she was becoming more convinced she had the illness every day.
Lydia's father died from the disease, so she is terrified to find out whether she has the condition or not.

Chas advised Lydia that it seemed she already knew what she should do about it.
Lydia expressed remorse for snapping at Sam, and agreed she could not continue this way.
"[Sam] wants me to take the test, to see if I've got it, Huntington's," said Lydia.
"And what about you?" asked Chas.

"Right now I am wondering what's the point, I'm losing my temper more and more, it's not like me, maybe I am over analysing everything but i think we both know what this might mean," replied Lydia.
"You think you've got it?"asked Chas, as Lydia nodded sadly.
"No more sticking my head in the sand, I'm going to take the test," she said.

Chas assured Lydia the whole family would be there for her - but Lydia warned her she did not want anyone else knowing except Sam.
One viewer tweeted: "Get the test Lydia and then you will know #Emmerdale ".
"I'm gona take the test" YES Lydia #Emmerdale " added another.
Meanwhile, several viewers took Lydia's angry outbursts to be an indication that she is pregnant.
One wrote: "Lydia is pregnant #emmerdale " and another agreed: "Bet Lydia is preggers #emmerdale ".
A third predicted: "So, anyone else think Lydia might be pregnant? #emmerdale ".
"WOW Lydia "I KNOW IT'S NOT" at the top of her lungs... I see another miracle baby here #Emmerdale," added a fourth.
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
