Emmerdale aired upsetting scenes on Tuesday, as Wendy Posner's son Luke threatened her after a recent revelation.
Luke accused her of trying to get him sent to prison over his brother Lee's death in 2019, refusing to accept he may have played a part.
Viewers will know that Robert Sugden is currently serving a long stretch in prison for the murder of Lee, after he hit him over the head with a shovel during a showdown.
Robert had not intended to kill Lee, and was lashing out after Lee raped his sister Victoria a few months earlier.
What was not known at the time though is that just hours before the attack, Lee had already hit his head and was briefly unconscious after a fall.

Luke confessed he had shoved brother Lee and caused the fall in a conversation with mum Wendy on Friday, and since then she has been torn about that to do.
Victoria, who welcomed son Harry after falling pregnant after the assault, is now dating Luke - but he is refusing to tell her the truth, despite it possibly helping Robert's case.
Wendy has questioned whether the jury would have been more lenient on Robert had they known Lee may already have been injured.

She is also keen to find out if Lee's brain was already bleeding prior to the shovel hitting him, as if this is the case it's likely Robert might not have killed him - or at least he and Luke both killed him.
But Luke refused to accept this or even entertain the idea he was involved, accusing Wendy of trying to get him sent to prison.
Wendy denied accusing her son of murder, but said she needed to know what happened to Lee - and whether the new information could help Robert.

It's then that Luke threatened his mother over access to her grandson Harry, if she ever tried to tell Victoria the truth or anyone else for that matter.
Luke gave his mum a menacing look as he claimed Robert killed Lee and not him, and that she needed to stay silent if she wanted to see Harry again.
He also threatened lawyer Ethan to stay quiet, after Wendy approached him with Lee's postmortem results to find out if Luke's scuffle with him might have been the true cause of the brain bleed.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
