Emmerdale's Lucy Pargeter says tables will turn back on Chas after she 'cheats' on Paddy

Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday to talk about her character Chas Digle's troubled relationship with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

Chas and Paddy are on the rocks and Chas has been enjoying a flirt with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) which some viewers have branded "cheating".

Lucy explained: "It's not going to be plain sailing, definitely not this week, there are going to be some more branches on the tree.

"Maybe something will be done to her that makes her think about what she might have done to Paddy."

Paddy has also gone for a drink with his ex Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) as the couple enter into a bitter tit for tat.

She added: "They have been through so much from falling pregnant with Grace, to losing Grace, and then having Eve.

"Lockdown and the pub closing down and all that pressure, they have had an awful lot.

Chas and Paddy have been at loggerheads (ITV)

"Chas has got to the stage where I don't know what she needed, if she needed her ego stroking or the old feisty Chas that she used to be.

"She has not strayed but she's entered into a possible tangent in her relationship."

Asked about the Emmerdale fans' reactions, she said: "The audience are hating massively on Chas at the moment because she seems selfish flippant and pig-headed with the relationship she has had with Paddy.

Lucy also giggled with the hosts as they shared a throwback of her from her pop star days.

Lucy was in a band called Paperdolls, who toured with Boyzone in the 1990s.

"It was the best time, three girls on the road in their early 20s having a blast, it was absolutely amazing!" she said.
