Emmerdale’s Liv Dingle actress Isobel Steele's real age and life from co-star romance rumours to career after soap exit

Emmerdale’s Isobel Steele has been a fan favourite ever since joining the ITV soap as Liv Dingle in 2016. However, viewers were left devastated as she was killed off during the 50th anniversary.

The actor's final scene aired earlier this month when a horrific storm hit the Yorkshire village and she was crushed by a caravan. During her six years on the soap, the actress has been part of some huge storylines and even won Best Young Actor at the 2018 British Soap Awards.

Fans will never forget her dramatic storylines, especially her character Liv’s alcohol problem. However, she soon turned things around earlier this year when she started dating Vinny Dingle and the two characters married.

Her brother Aaron, who is played by Danny Miller, returned to the village to sign over the deeds of the mill and the scrapyard to his sister. However, the period of good fortune took a sharp turn in a dramatic week of episodes as Liv got caught up in the furious storm which ripped through the village, Liverpool Echo reports.

How old is Isobel Steele?

Isobel Steele is 21 years old and was born on December 28, 2000. The star was cast as the half-sister of Aaron Dingle in 2016 and has been on the soap ever since. She took a break in 2017 to sit her GCSE exams.

She grew up in and around Greater Manchester and attended Phillips High School in Whitefield, Bury – the same school attended by her co-star Charley Webb, who is best known for playing Debbie Dingle.

Does Isobel have a boyfriend?

When it comes to Isobel’s relationship status, the star prefers to keep her private life out of the limelight - it’s unknown if she is in a relationship.

However she did recently shut down rumours rumours with her on screen husband Vinny Dingle, played by actor Bradley Johnson and insisted they are simply “close friends.”

The pair had been seen enjoying numerous outings together both on and off screen, leading many fans at home to wonder if there could be something romantic on the cards for the couple – however, Isobel, laughed off such rumours as she answered them outright once and for all.

Isobel told Metro: "Brad is wonderful and such a good friend of mine. We are very similar and work really well together when we have scenes just us two. I can see why people jumped to conclusions, seeing two characters spending time together on and off-screen!”

Isobel’s career outside of Emmerdale

The role in Emmerdale isn't Isobel's first time in front of the camera. She appeared in adverts for Park Foods, Bernard Matthews Ltd, Iceland and Harveys Furniture between 2008 and 2010.

A few years before taking on the role of Liv, she played Nicky in Lost in 2013, before going on to star in British drama Our Zoo the following year.

Away from the screen, Isobel is a talented musician and regularly shares clips that showcase her singing ability. On Instagram, she proudly shared her appearance on BBC Radio Leeds as part of the broadcaster's ongoing BBC Music Introducing feature.

She captioned a shot alongside a piano: "If you missed it (I almost did!) go back and listen to BBC radio Leeds to hear my new song 'Homegrown'," the singer captioned a shot of herself performing beside a piano.

Aged just 18, Isobel released her first ever album, titled Sounds from the Lounge. Now she has left Emmerdale the star said she will be concentrating more on her music career.
