Emmerdale fans heard a familiar voice on Thursday night, as Lisa Dingle made a return of sorts.
The character sadly died last year after battling a terminal illness, leaving her family heartbroken.
In the latest episode of the ITV soap, Belle's mental health began to spiral as she was shown speaking to her late mum.
But while Paddy Kirk thought she was just talking to her memory, as she was sat by her ashes, viewers soon learned Belle could actually hear Lisa talking back to her - as could they.
In fact, it appears "Lisa" has been telling her troubled daughter to do things for her, as she promised to be there for her.
Actress Jane Cox reprised her role for the scenes, with her familiar voice heard in the first of Thursday's two episodes.
Of course the voices are in Belle's head, with her mental health seemingly deteriorating after recent events.
Belle was diagnosed with schizophrenia after first showing signs of the condition back in 2014.
She has battled with her condition several times since then, especially during times of turmoil.
Recently, she tried to set up her boyfriend Jamie Tate after finding out he was the driver in the hit-and-run who almost killed Moira Dingle.
But Jamie has tried to frame her and her nephew Nate Robinson for the crime instead, with them fearing they will go to prison.
It was clear in the latest episode that Belle was not coping, as she took to talking to her mother about her problems.
But it was when Belle asked if she had done the right thing and Lisa responded, that fans realised the severity of the situation.
Belle believed her mum was talking to her and was guiding her, making it clear she was hearing voices again and that her mental health was spiraling.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
