Emmerdale's Liam Cavanagh gets down on one knee and pops the question to Leyla Harding in upcoming scenes on Emmerdale - but a jealous Meena Jutla destroys their special moment.
Liam gives David a secret mission to help him set up his proposal to Leyla, and Meena is jealous, suspecting there’s a spark between David and Leyla, unaware there is a plan afoot.
When Meena sees David heading over to see Leyla in the street she is upset.
David delays Leyla, until Leanna gives him the signal Liam’s ready to propose and as Leyla and David platonically part ways, Meena rages to see them so close.
Thinking Leyla is trying to steal David, Meena rudely interrupts Liam’s attempted proposal to Leyla, totally destroying his romantic plan.
When Pollard points out to David that Liam’s proposal doesn’t appear to be going to plan, David explains to Meena the reason he spent the morning with Leyla was to give Liam time to prepare for his proposal, inadvertently blowing the surprise.
Liam is devastated his proposal has been ruined but, realising the lengths Liam went to propose to her, Leyla suggests he try again.
After he delivers a speech from the heart, Leyla is overjoyed and says yes.
As Liam and Leyla celebrate their engagement, David and Meena’s relationship is looking less stable - could they be on the rocks?
Meanwhile, Liam's ex fiance Bernice Blackstock is set to return after they broke up when he cheated on her with Leyla - how will she react to their news?
Speaking to The Mirror and other media, Leyla actress Roxy Shahidi revealed she does not want a "happy ending" for Leyla and Liam.
"It would be too boring, please no," she laughed.
"It would be nice for them to have a period of joy for goodness sake and let them enjoy the work that they’ve put in. But ultimately no."
Liam actor Jonny McPherson added: "We'd get about four episodes a year. It'd be: 'Oh they’re still happy? Great, see you later!'

Roxy added: "Oh my gosh, I think so many things could happen to get in the way of this wedding and who would want a day that just goes smoothly?
"There wouldn't be any stories to tell, so I’d definitely stay tuned for some exciting wedding day action.
"I strongly believe that they will make it up the aisle, I hope. But I’m guessing there will be some obstacles for them," she concluded.
