Leyla Harding is left heartbroken as she's forced to tell her grieving husband that she's had a miscarriage next week on Emmerdale.
Ever since Liam Cavanagh's daughter Leanna tragically died, Leyla has tried her best to support him despite Liam pushing her away.
Neither Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) nor Liam know that Leanna was murdered by Meena and instead believe it to be a tragic accident.
So when Meena intervened to gift Liam with some wise words to help mend his relationship with Leyla, the oblivious doctor was thankful towards his own daughter's killer.
Yet later, when Liam spotted a pregnancy test, Leyla lied and said that it had belonged to her business partner Andrea Tate.

He was visibly relieved over the news, admitting that he didn't want anymore children as he would feel as though he were replacing Leanna.
Leyla's friend Priya urged her to tell Liam the truth, but she wants to wait for the right moment to do so.
Heartbreakingly, the right moment never appears to come as she realises that she's having a miscarriage.
While Leyla is at the surgery, being checked out by Wendy, she is determined to protect Liam by coping alone.
She manages to persuade Wendy to bypass Liam and arrange a scan for her directly.
However, when Priya acts oddly when Liam mentions Leyla's name, he suspects that something might be wrong.
Liam confronts Priya and she eventually reveals that she had a miscarriage and has lost their baby.
Will Liam be able to put his feelings of grief aside so that he can be there for his wife?
Elsewhere, Cathy is guilt-ridden as April breaks down in tears over the bullying.
April's phone number has been posted online and she is left overwhelmed and nauseous over the bullying.

As the threatening messages escalate, April collapses into sobs and Cathy is horrified over how her actions have affected her so much.
Eventually, she admits the truth to brother Heath about what she has been doing...
