Emmerdale's Laura Norton gave up cola and shed three stone

Actress Laura Norton, who stars in ITV soap Emmerdale has spoken about how she overhauled her lifestyle to lose three stone. Laura, who plays Kerry Wyatt in Emmerdale, said she's had an image transformation during her 10 years in Emmerdale. She has previously spoken about how she shed three stone by cutting Coca-Cola from her diet as she used to drink four litres of the fizzy drink per day.

The soap star is renowned for her role as Kerry Wyatt in the fictional Yorkshire village. Liverpool Echo reports she arrived on the show in dramatic fashion in 2012 when she spotted her onscreen boyfriend, Chris Fletcher, kissing another woman.

Kerry has since endured a rollercoaster time on the show and is currently embroiled in the Amelia Spencer pregnancy storyline. The character gave birth to Amy Wyatt at a young age and is using her learned experience to offer advice.

Away from the screen, Laura is happily engaged to Mark Jordon, who soap fans will recognise as Daz Spencer in Emmerdale.

The 39-year-old recently thrilled her co-stars when she confirmed she was expecting her second child. She shared an adorable snap of the two on Instagram, alongside the caption: "Round 2".

Nottinghamshire Live previously reported how fans and fellow Emmerdale stars were quick to congratulate the happy couple.

She told The Mirror in 2018: “It was about three years ago when I started to lose weight. I was in skimpy outfits all the time on telly, and the camera also adds weight to you, so I thought I'd do something.

“I started to do a bit of exercise, which I hadn’t done for years. You get a bit older and weight is harder to lose. Then I cut the Coca-Cola out and started to notice the difference and then just decided to keep it up."
