Emmerdale's Jurell Carter shares links to wild conspiracy theories including satanism

Emmerdale actor Jurell Carter left soap fans baffled by sharing links to a number of bizarre conspiracy theory pages, which include wild claims about satanism, evolution, the moon landings and the coronavirus vaccines.

The star, who plays Nate Robinson in the ITV soap, shared the links in a number of posts on his Instagram stories which have seen been deleted.

The pages included false claims about satanism as well as untrue posts about the moon landings being faked, as well as misinformation about Covid vaccines and the history of evolution.

Jurell, 25, appeared to have left some of his followers confused with his posts, including one which provoked accusations that he's an "anti-vaxxer".

The actor hit back at the comments, writing: "Again with the anti vaxing labels. Also trolls stop hiding behind these profiles you clowns."

He went on to add another post, which read: "Questioning and doubting what is going on does not make you 'anti' anything.

"Nor does it make you a conspiracy theorist. Actually questioning IS and should be the place of reason.

"The fact that questioning has become taboo, should in fact send a chill up everyone's spine."

It comes after Jurell's show Emmerdale became the first soap to feature a character getting the Covid vaccine.

Chris Chittell's character Eric Pollard was seen onscreen last month in a heart-warming scene in which he told his son David he had just got his second jab.

Eric told his son: "I just had my second injection I'm now fully vaccinated," and David replied: "Dad that's fantastic..."

The elder character then added: "When I was driving back, all I could think of was how grateful I am... Today at least, I feel real hope, hope for us all."

The Mirror has contacted a representative for Jurell for comment.
