Emmerdale's Jimmy King addresses rumours he's killed off in ITV soap's dramatic week

An Emmerdale favourite has revealed he’s at peace with leaving the soap should his character be killed off during this week’s dramatic events.

Nick Miles, who has played Jimmy King for 17 years, is one of the cast facing the chop in the shocking scenes currently unfolding in the ITV soap. Viewers know at least one character dies this week.

It’s Paul and Mandy’s wedding with disaster striking. Fans know Jimmy loses control of his vehicle and ploughs into farming buildings.

The actor appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to gossip about what viewers are seeing and teased a possible tragic end for Jimmy.

“I’ve had a great run at 17 years and if this is the end I’ve got nothing to feel sorry for,” Nick explained.

“I think people might be surprised. I think they know it is one of three people by now (who dies) and I’m on the card but they won’t know who yet.”

The dramatic scenes form part of Emmerdale’s biggest stunt since the coronavirus pandemic struck.

Praising the show’s production team, Nick said: “We’ve got people trying so hard to make this work. Obviously, we can’t slap each other or kiss each other. All these things we’d normally do. To get round those acting moments and to make people look close together, when they’re not, it has been a terrific achievement.”
