Two Emmerdale stars have discussed how much they are enjoying spending time filming together as part of one of the soap’s major 2023 storylines.
The ITV soap’s stars Jessie Elland and Lawrence Robb sat down to offer a few spoilers to fans regarding the love triangle between their characters Chloe Harris and Mackenzie Boyd as well Charity Dingle. As viewers know, Mackenzie is due to marry Charity later this year but they are also aware he’s father to Chole’s unborn baby - something Charity has yet to discover.
Away from the storyline, which has got many twists and turns to come, the acting stars have spoken about their experiences filming together as their scenes have naturally increased.

Speaking at a press event, Lawrence said: “I do love working with you (as he turned to Jessie). I think sometimes they (their characters) hate each other and then two days down the line it might go back. I guess, they have got a common denominator in their child. If the writers were to explore it (a stable relationship between Mackenzie and Chloe) then it wouldn’t be unheard of.”
Jessie added: “They butt heads quite a lot.” Lawrence added: “They do. Although, I don’t know if you can call that a spark or not.”
The pair both joked about how on edge their characters are about Charity finding out the father of Chloe’s baby. It is fair to say there’s some tension in the Yorkshire village air.
“In this situation, you can kind of understand everyone’s motives,” Lawrence explained. “It is quite a nice thing to play with as you can feel that tension underneath.”

Jessie joked: “It is horrible!” Lawrence added: “We sail quite close to the wind a lot of the time.”
Lawrence said should Charity discover Mackenzie is the father of Chloe’s baby then his character’s world ‘crumble’.
