Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley sparks concern as fans question Cain's bandaged hand

Emmerdale fans were left feeling rather concerned for actor Jeff Hordley after tuning in on Monday evening.

Jeff, 51, plays the role of Cain Dingle and was sporting a bandaged hand during the latest episode of the ITV soap.

At the beginning of Monday's episode, Cain was seen talking to his mum Faith (Sally Dexter) and son Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) , and the conversation quickly turned to his injury.

"What happened to your arm?" Nate asked him, as Faith quizzed him some more.

"Okay, if you must know, I was helping me dad out," Cain replied.

"I thought he was too old to be climbing up ladders doing DIY, he forgot to tell me one of the rungs was loose.

"Anyway, I’m not here to talk about me," he added, looking frustrated that his his mother was still hanging around.

Later on in the episode, he was heard saying: "I'm a bit shorthanded," leaving viewers to wonder if Jeff had injured his arm in real life.

Taking to Twitter, one soap fan wrote: "I’m just wondering but has Jeff hurt his hand in real life? #Emmerdale."

Elsewhere during Monday's episode, fans were feeling frustrated as Vinny refused to accept what his late father Paul had done to him.

As he confronted mum Mandy and Cain as they chatted outside the pub, Vinny asked why they were continuing to slander Paul.

Cain then opened up to Vinny and spoke about his own experience of abuse as a child.

Emmerdale fans were chuffed to see the softer side of Cain and were keen to see more of it.

"More Cain and Vinny scenes too needed #Emmerdale @emmerdale," one viewer tweeted.
