Emmerdale may have a new villain to watch out for - and if their family tree is anything to go by, he has the potential to be quite the baddie.
Jamie Tate looks set to be as ruthless as his mother according to the actor who plays him, Alexander Lincoln.
He resorts to playing dirty in the coming weeks after being blackmailed by his own wife Andrea Tate, forcing him to stay with her.
According to Inside Soap magazine, the character will turn to the dark side and be more like his mother Kim.
Kim is one of soap land's biggest villains, causing death and destruction back in the 90's in the Dales.
Ever since her return in 2018, villagers gave feared her ruthless streak - but it seems there could be someone else to watch out for.
Jamie is already shielding the fact he was the hit-and-run driver that almost killed Moira Dingle recently.
After he tried to leave his wife, Andrea blackmailed him about the crash forcing him to dump Belle Dingle for her.
But she should realise who she is messing with, as the son of Kim and the late Frank Tate looks set to finally live up to his name.
Speaking to the publication, he teased his revenge plot for Andrea as one villager's words lead to a "new side" of the character.
Jamie has been quite tame and the "nice guy" so far, despite a few mistakes here and there, but that could all be about to change.
He said: "There’s a new side to Jamie coming out – and I love it!
"Since the accident, he’s been stuck, because Andrea gave him a ladder to climb out of the hole that he’d dug himself, and now he can’t escape.
"But Jai helps Jamie see a different way of doing things."
He went on: "Jamie wants to know how Jai can put on a mask when he sees fit.
"So Jai tells him that you can make people see things your way, whether through flattery or intimidation.
"That advice gives Jamie a new lease of life.”
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
