Emmerdale viewers have questioned whether Jamie Tate could be the one poisoning his own mother Kim, after the latest episode of the ITV soap.
The character seemed keen to get his mother to safety after learning she was being targeted by a mystery villager.
But some took his caring nature to be something a little more sinister, suggesting Jamie could be the one behind it all.
He pointed out to his mother that her faking symptoms of being drugged was not going to work, given the poisoned brandy had clearly not been touched all week.
He instead suggested the culprit would have noticed this, and would be trying to find another way to get to her.

As he urged Kim to flee with him for a while to help her get back to her normal self, he had to fend off suspect Gabby Thomas who tried to encourage Kim to stay at Home Farm.
She seemed desperate for her to remain with her, even offering to care for her herself - but Kim had already decided to get some time away.
Jamie was adamant to get Kim out of the house, seemingly worried someone was going to kill her.

But some fans wondered if a major twist could see Jamie revealed to be targeting Kim all along.
There is the fact he noticed and moved the hidden camera, before getting Kim to spill all on her plan to catch them in the act.
He then noticed the brandy had not been touched all week, so could he be trying to keep her on side and isolated so that he can strike again undetected?

This theory divided fans though, as many questioned the fact he was keen to get the police involved so surely can't be in the frame.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "I still think Jamie Tate poisoning his own mum not will taylor and wait and see first."
Another disagreed: "Why do I lowkey think Jamie is the one poisoning Kim?"
A third said: "Is it Jamie that’s poisoning Kym," while another wrote: "See Jamie wants you out."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
