Emmerdale's Eric Pollard will be arrested next week after attacking Aaron Dingle and putting him in hospital.
The mechanic will be left battered and bruised by the cafe owner after he catches him trying to put Brenda's stolen brooch back in their home.
Brenda had initially blamed Faith Dingle and confronted her about the missing brooch, but viewers know it was Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) who actually took it.
Moira's brother snuck into their house after the couple headed upstairs to have some fun mid afternoon.
Aaron (Danny Miller) is aware that Mack has the brooch and urges him to return it, but the Scotsman refuses.

So Aaron decides to rectify things himself and steals the brooch to put it back where it belongs.
But things take a turn for the worse when Eric catches Aaron in his house and beats him to the ground with a baseball bat.
Scared that he'll get caught out, Mack visits Aaron at hospital and begs him not to tell anyone that it was him who actually stole the brooch, but will Aaron agree to keep the secret?

Meanwhile, Brenda is certain it must be Faith who had taken the brooch and got Aaron to quietly return it for her.
But Faith is not happy when she realises they still think that she's the thief.
Shortly after, the police turn up at Eric's house and it seems they are there to arrest him for his attack on Aaron.

Meanwhile, Eric tries to reassure Brenda that he's not interested in Faith, and only has eyes for her.
But Brenda tells him that she can't see a future for them unless Faith is out of the picture.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
