Emmerdale's Doug Potts caught red handed smoking weed in worst possible way

Doug Potts is finally caught red handed smoking weed in next week's Emmerdale.

The pensioner has turned to drugs to ease the pain from his bad back, but came dangerously close to being rumbled by his neighbours.

After finding his spliffs in the bin his neighbours have started a campaign to tackle the drug problem in the village.

No one was aware that Doug was secretly smoking cannabis and many were convinced in was a gang of youths.

However, paranoid Doug is riddle with guilt and convinced that he will be caught out when Charity Dingle steps up her bid to find the culprit.

Eric Pollard resolves to join the quest to clear the village of drugs and joins in the search.

Thinking he is getting away with it, Doug takes a moment in private to light up a sneaky spliff.

But he isn't alone as Pollard catches him red handed with a joint in his mouth.

Stunned Eric wants to report Doug to the police for bringing illegal drugs to the village.

But Doug tries to reason with his neighbour and convince him he is doing it for valid reasons.

The keen gardener has a constant supply to get high on as he recently discovered that Gerry was keeping a cannabis plant before his tragic death.

But his secret habit was rumbled when Harriet found a spliff in the bin.
