Emmerdale's Danny Miller teases new man for Aaron who will 'live up to' Robert Sugden

Emmerdale could be lining up fresh romance for Aaron Dingle, as he finally moves on from his recent heartache.

Chas Dingle's son was torn apart from the love of his life Robert Sugden, who was sent to prison to serve a minimum 14-year sentence.

He was given a life sentence for the murder of Lee Posner, who he accidentally killed when he attacked him, after he raped his sister Victoria.

Robert handed himself in to the police after initially planning to go on the run with husband Aaron, deciding he didn't want to ruin his life.

In the months that followed he refused to give Aaron visiting access, and cut off all communication with him sending him in a downward spiral.

Robert later contacted Aaron and confessed he did it for him, thinking it was the best way to end things.

Knowing he wouldn't be out for a long time and not wanting Aaron to wait for him, he thought it was better to make the decision for him by ignoring him.

Aaron is now preparing to move on, ready to let go of Robert now knowing the truth.

Robert had asked for a divorce, and Aaron is finally seeing there is life after his husband it seems.

Speaking on Emmerdale spin-off series Emmerdale Family Trees, Aaron actor Danny Miller teased love could be on the horizon.

He revealed that there was likely a character out there who could live up to Robert, while he didn't reveal whether he would find him soon.

Speaking during the Dingle special, he said: "I'm sure there is someone out there somewhere, who can maybe one day live up to Robert."

The devastating split came after Robert actor Ryan Hawley quit his role on the ITV soap.

As devastating as it was for fans, they knew there was no going back for the couple as the actor exited the show.

Many will no doubt be happy to see Aaron find someone, while hoping that maybe one day Robert will return.

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
