Danny Miller is expecting his first child with his fiancée Steph Jones after a year-long fertility struggle.
The Emmerdale star, 30, has revealed that he got engaged to his midwife girlfriend Steph Jones earlier this year while on a trip to the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
In a new interview with OK!, the couple revealed that a month following their engagement they discovered that they were expecting their first child after a year of trying to conceive.
Steph confirmed to the publication: "It was a massive surprise because emotionally we’d been psyching ourselves up for IVF. It was meant to be. We got engaged at the beginning of January and found out we were expecting in February."

On their wonderful news, Danny said that they feel so "incredibly lucky" and "humbled" by their good news, knowing that many do not have such an outcome.
Having received a message to call her from Steph while filming Emmerdale's recent barn explosion storyline, Danny revealed he eventually called following a long take and had the good news confirmed.
He said: "I rang Steph and she was laughing but crying and I just knew. With us being with the IVF consultant the day before, I was in complete shock. I started crying. It’s making me emotional to think about it now. I bought another pregnancy test on the way home, not that she had to prove it, but I just wanted that moment for us."

The couple had been waiting for IVF drugs to be delivered following a diagnosis for Steph of polycystic ovary syndrome and Clomid medication which hadn't increased progesterone levels, meaning they had been referred for IVF treatment.
Danny also revealed that he would like three or four children, while Steph agreed on three.
The midwife revealed that she has been "very sick" since the seven-week mark but that Danny has been supporting her and they're both excited to have their child at their wedding.

Danny also noted that ideally - depending on numbers - he would like to see the actors who play his on-screen family, the Dingles, attending the real-life wedding, along with former Emmerdale stars Kelvin Fletcher, Ryan Thomas, and Ryan Hawley.
On whether he would like to be in the role of Aaron Dingle for life after 13 years in the ITV soap already, Danny laughed at the idea of whether they would want him there that long but noted his love for his job.
He concluded: "My priorities have changed now and everything is about providing for the family and if that’s what’s going to provide for the family, then so be it."
