Emmerdale's Charley Webb 'furious' before addressing questions over the appearance of her sons

Charley Webb joked she was 'furious' as she shared her current nighttime routine before addressing questions over her sons' appearance. The former Emmerdale star took to Instagram to implore her followers to ask her a question as she said: "What d'you wanna know?"

Alongside the social media platform's question box, she posted a photo showing her sprawled out on her bed. "I've got some time before Love [Island] starts," she stated to type before adding; "Don't even judge. I'm furious I've got into it. Furious."

After her admission about her TV habits, Charley cracked on with answering some of the questions that had come in from her 577,000 followers which included some about her acting career and others about her personal life.

The first saw the actress, who is known for having played Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale, share a photo taken during her early years on the ITV soap with her on-screen mum and dad Emma Atkinson and Jeff Hordley, who play Charity and Cain Dingle, and are still two of her closest friends.

"How did you get into acting?" one fan asked, to which Charley replied: "I was 8 doing drama at school. The teacher called my mum to say she thought I should do some extra classes because I really came out of myself when I was working on scripts and performing." She added: "That was it," with stars emojis.

She was also quizzed on when fans can next expect to see her on-screen. Charley hadn't been seen in Emmerdale since the start of 2021 leading to speculation she had quit the show. However, she later confirmed that she'd officially waved goodbye to her feisty character much earlier than people realised.

In January last year, she said that she left to have her son, Ace, and only returned for 10 weeks to complete a storyline which saw Debbie involved in an affair with the now-late Al Chapman while he was engaged to Priya Sharma.

She has since appeared in BBC One thriller, Better, which aired back in February and it appears Charley's next project isn't too far away. "When will we see you back on our screens? Can't wait!" one fan said to which Charley responded: "Before the end of the year," alongside a close-up selfie showing her sporting what appeared to be a crisp white shirt.

However, some of the questions weren't about work and one follower asked Charley about her children's long locks. "Will you ever get the boys' hair cut or do they like it long?" the question read as the 35-year-old responded: "I love boys with long hair personally."

Continuing to speak about her experience with her kids, Buster, Bowie and Ace who she shares with fellow Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, Charley said: "I think it depends on personality but mine all really suit it long. Buster and Bowie have both had it short and didn't like it... Ace will decide when he wants to cut it I'm sure."

She then added: "I'm not precious about it." Back in 2019, Bury-born Charley furiously hit back after being criticised for her allowing her son to have long hair. The doting mum had posted a photo of mother and son having their hair washed side by side in a salon, saying: "Like mother. Like son."

Cruel comments were previously aimed at Charley after she posted a selfie of actress Emma alongside Buster and Bowie with comments including 'they look like girls'. She then returned to Instagram with a photo of eldest Buster wearing a T-shirt which read "Long hair don't care #Boy."

Alongside the post, the soap star wrote: "I get asked so many times on here why my kids have got long hair. 'Why don't you cut it?' Or, 'They look like girls'. The answer is really simple, because we like it and more importantly they like it." I absolutely don't feel like I need to explain it to anyone who has an opinion but I just think life would be so much easier if we all just focused on our own lives. Don't let my kids' hair worry you."

Charley then told her followers that those who judge others style of parenting should "keep their opinions to themselves" alongside the saying, "if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." She continued: "I think people think they have a right to have an opinion because of social media. Maybe you do.

"But try keeping it to yourself, it's not important to us what you think of how our kids look. Or how we look. Or their names or whatever it is you might want to comment on. I was always taught, if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Try practising it peeps. There's enough awful stuff in the world without being mean to each other."
