Emmerdale's Cain Dingle 'shaken' as crooked cop kills after confrontation

Cain Dingle is left incredibly "shaken" on Emmerdale next week as he confronts the crooked cop attempting to blackmail Will Taylor.

Viewers will remember that Will secretly had a gun, which he was terrified of the police uncovering after Cain accidentally shot his own son in the barn.

Later this week, it emerges that Will is terrified of DI Malone as he arrives in the Dales to question those at Butler's farm over the shooting.

Next week, DI Malone manages to set a trap to get Will into doing another drugs job for him, sparking his anxiety as he is left feeling increasingly desperate.

Cain is quickly suspicious over Will's behaviour and when he discovers a suspicious package in Malone's car he suggests he and Will have a "little chat".

Will finally comes clean to Cain and tells him what Malone has been up to, leading Cain to decide to go and confront Malone.

Crooked cop Malone frightens Cain (ITV)

Cain and Malone meet in a layby but Cain quickly realises that their meeting was a big mistake when he discovers Moira's bull has been killed and the garage trashed.

He is worried when Malone turns up as the detective on the scene and sinisterly asks Cain whether anyone has a grudge against him.

With Malone's eye now on Cain and Moira, what is he planning to do next to gain the upper hand?

This comes after Will is set to reveal that the gun belonged to a gang he used to work for and as Cain tries to clean up the mess, Malone is lurking nearby in a car watching them.

Will is worried when PC Swirling begins questioning him but is even more terrified when DI Malone turns up...

*Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV and additional episodes at 8pm on Thursdays
