Emmerdale's Ellis Chapman isn't set for the best start to the New Year as a war between the Dingles and the Chapmans kicks off.
New ITV spoilers reveal that the first week of 2022 will see Ellis bloodied, bare-footed and abandoned as Cain Dingle sets out to seek revenge.
Cain (Jeff Hordley) will go after Ellis in the week between Christmas and New Year because he abandoned Belle and Kyle in the forest.

It all begins on Wednesday 29 December when Ellis (Aaron Anthony) invites Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) on an excursion with Kyle, leaving her hopeful they are moving in the right direction.
But Ellis but ends up abandoning them after he gets a call from Priya Sharma, who is struggling from an eating disorder.
Things go from bad to worse for Belle and Kyle as he twists his ankle and they decide they want to try to head home, but end up stranded in the freezing cold after Belle's phone battery dies and she realises that Ellis took the car keys with him.
Belle begins to panic, leaving a voicemail for Ellis and tries to call Cain but her phone dies as she is using it.
Kyle and Belle end up huddled in their car in the forest and appear unconscious and pale.
After being rescued, Kyle ends up in hospital and as Cain (Jeff Hordley) worries about him, he spirals into a fit of rage and orders Marlon to evict Ellis from Tall Trees.
Later that night, out on the moors, Cain abandons a terrified Ellis in the middle of nowhere as retribution for putting Kyle in hospital.
Out on the moors, a freezing cold Ellis is curled up on the floor with bloodied, bare feet and seemingly left for dead.
Meanwhile, his father Al and brother Billy worry about Ellis' whereabouts after realising that he didn’t show up to the B&B the night before and soon find out he’s been spotted with Cain.
A very angry Al ends up confronting Cain and accuses him of harming Ellis but Cain holds his nerve and is able to feign accountability.
Later on, Cain is sickened to find Al watching Kyle sleep in his hospital room and ends up implicitly threatening Kyle as he warns Cain to stop playing games.
