Alex replied: "I'm your real dad."
While the drama was beginning to kick off, fans couldn't help but be distracted by the new youngster's face.
Taking to Twitter they shared their thoughts.
Mel said: "Tell me I'm right in thinking they've changed actor for Lucas on #Emmerdale that's def not the same kid? Least this one actually acts and speaks more!"
Lily said: "Is that a new Lucas? #Emmerdale."
Lauren said: "They recast Lucas #Emmerdale."
Gavin said: "Never mind who are you, who the hell is that Lucas #emmerdale."
Fans were correct as in the credits for the show, they stated that Lucas was now played by Noah Ryan Aspinall.
Alex had made a return in a new attempt at being a good father to his son.
He previously suffered from drug issues but claimed he was now clean.
Meena later got up to her usual no good antics when she approached Alex and stirred the pot by telling him that Dawn is the one that he should be worried about.
