Emmerdale's aftermath to Liv tragedy sees character blamed for her death after discovery

Emmerdale aired tense scenes on Thursday night, in the devastating aftermath to Liv Flaherty's death.

Liv was killed off on Wednesday, with Isobel Steele bowing out of the role after six years on screen.

The character tragically died in her husband Vinny Dingle's arms in incredibly moving scenes, after she was crushed by a caravan during the storm.

On Thursday, her loved ones were struggling to cope with her death and the fact she was gone forever after paramedics could not save her.

One character feeling the strain and grief was her brother Aaron Dingle, and it wasn't long before a discovery led to him blaming someone for Liv's death.

Aaron was at the scene of his little sister's passing as he tried to comprehend what had happened.

He was soon joined by Amy Wyatt who dropped the news that after his mother Chas Dingle was injured and taken to hospital during the storm, Al Chapman was the one who took her there.

Aaron had recently discovered his mum was having an affair with Al, and forced her to end things or said he would spill the beans.

Chas claimed it was over, but during the storm, she was back in his arms when she was hit by debris.

Al even left an injured Kerry Wyatt, his partner, to help Chas and get her to the hospital - while Chas was meant to be inside the pub and not with Al.

After learning of Chas' accident, Liv and her husband Vinny battled through the violent storm to head to the pub, leaving the safety of their house.

Paddy has asked them to go there to look after his and Chas' young daughter Eve, so he and Aaron could visit Chas.

It was the couple making this journey that saw tragedy strike as they were hit by the caravan, leading to Liv's death.

So to find out that Chas was only in the storm because she was with her fling Al, who she'd promised not to see again, left Aaron devastated.

He quickly blamed Chas for Liv's death, revealing Liv was only out in the storm to try and get to Eve because Chas was at the hospital.

If Chas hadn't left the pub to see Al she would not have been harmed, meaning Liv would not have had to leave her house to go and check on Eve.

Aaron furiously told his mum he knew the truth and that he would never forgive her for Liv's death - even wishing death on her.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
