Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy set to abandon sister Liv Flaherty as she faces jail

Emmerdale's Liv is set to face court next week after being jailed for the murder of Ben.

While viewers at home are well aware Liv Flaherty, played by Isobel Steele, is actually innocent she has still been blamed on-screen for the tragedy.

Murderous Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, battered the HOP worker with an oar after he found CCTV footage showing she was guilty of attempting to kill Victoria by trying to drown her.

But before his death, Ben had had an altercation with youngster Liv with him eventually ordering her home, unaware they were being watched by the serial killer.

Liv somehow ended up with Ben's phone in her pocket which had footage of her aggressively and angrily shouting at him, and due to drunkenly having no memory of the night, she even started to doubt herself when she was being questioned about the night.

She had recently gone back to the bottle as she struggles with drinking problems.

Next week will see the falsely accused Liv appear in court, with her brother, and Ben's lover, Aaron trying to be by her side.

Chas promises him they will do it together as he wishes he could just disappear as he struggles to support his little sister.

He pays her a visit in a court side room before she appears before the judge but struggles to hold himself together.

Liv fears this could be his last good bye to her as Aaron tells her he doesn’t have the strength to keep supporting her any more.

She begs and pleads with him to be there for her and to reconsider but Aaron is too heartbroken.

We are set to see him leave her to face her fate alone.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV and ITVHub with an extra episode on Thursdays at 8pm
