Emmerdale 'rules out' three key character deaths - but fans have some interesting theories

Emmerdale appeared to rule out three characters from their shocking wedding death - but viewers have speculated it could be a red herring.

All week the show has been opening with hospital scenes, picturing unknown patients seriously ill.

As the scenes have become more in-depth with some characters shown to be visiting the mystery patients.

The opening scene of yesterday's episode (Tuesday 30) appeared to confirm at least three characters to be safe.

In the scene, we saw the flash forward featuring Nicola King, Aaron Dingle and Mandy Dingle all looking emotional and concerned.

This has convinced many fans that the death can't be any of them.

We know already that Vinny has an abusive relationship with his father Paul - but has Paul finally gone too far?

Nicola is also there - and she's got two to potentially visit.

Feared to be either husband Jimmy or her dad Rodney Blackstock, viewers have been kept guessing.

Many took to Twitter to express their relief.

One person said: "So that flash forward at the start of the episode has just ruled Aaron, Mandy and Nicola out of being the death since they are not the 3 bed occupants!"

Another agreed: "Jimmy was heard making the phone call for the ambulance, Nicola, Mandy and Aaron are shown in the hospital soooo."

A third added: "BUT GUYS I’M SO RELIEVED AARON IS SAFE!!!"

Others have envisioned wild theories: "I saw someone say on a thread on Facebook what if the 3 people we saw in tonight's flash forward are actually the victims and they're having an out of body experience. That got me thinking. If that was the case it means its either Aaron, Mandy or Nicola that dies!"

A second echoed this saying: "Looks a bit weird that scene. Almost like she’s watching over herself. Could be."

What happens remains to be seen - with the wedding taking place this evening on ITV 6.45pm to 7.15pm
