Emmerdale aired more clues about the looming tragedy to hit the village later this week, as a number of storylines collide.
But amongst all the hints and the possible red herrings, some viewers are now convinced they have worked out at least three people who are ruled out as being the death victim.
At least one character will be killed off in the dramatic episodes, involving a violent showdown and a truck crash.
What we do know is that a man makes a 999 call for help after an accident in the village, with multiple casualties.
Spoilers have also confirmed Jimmy King crashes his truck into farming buildings after losing control at high speed.
Elsewhere, Paul Ashdale attacks his son Vinny Dingle again, and this time it could be fatal - while Paul also violently attacks Liv Flaherty it seems when she uncovers his lies.
Three characters have been shown in hospital beds, but their identities have been kept secret.
Reece Dinsdale who plays Paul also confirmed the end of the week would see a fourth vicim wheeled in, with their identity a mystery too.
Now, the opening scenes of Tuesday's episode appeared to confirm three characters who were alive, and visiting three victims who were fighting for their lives.
While one chilling theory suggested it could be a dream or out-of-body experience for one or more of the true victims, others suggested it proved the particular characters will survive.
In the scenes were Nicola King, Aaron Dingle and Mandy Dingle, all looking very worried as those in the beds were seen in a bad way.
This obviously opens up the possibility of a number of characters being in those beds, with one of them set to die.
Mandy could be visiting partner Paul or their son Vinny, while Nicola is feared to be visiting husband Jimmy or her dad Rodney Blackstock.
Then there's Aaron, who could obviously be watching over his sister Liv, as others suggested Mackenzie Boyd may be in a bed.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "So that flash forward at the start of the episode has just ruled Aaron, Mandy and Nicola out of being the death since they are not the 3 bed occupants!"
Another agreed: "Jimmy was heard making the phone call for the ambulance, Nicola, Mandy and Aaron are shown in the hospital soooo."
A third added: "BUT GUYS I’M SO RELIEVED AARON IS SAFE!!!"
One chilling theory though read: "I saw someone say on a thread on facebook what if the 3 people we saw in tonights flash forward are actually the victims and they're having an out of body experience. That got me thinking. If that was the case it means its either Aaron, Mandy or Nicola that dies!"
A second echoed this saying: "Looks a bit weird that scene. Almost like she’s watching over herself. Could be."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
