Emmerdale reveals cancer scare for Amelia Spencer as teen makes alarming discovery

Emmerdale 's Amelia Spencer faces turmoil next week, as she opens up on a health scare.

The character confides in doctor Manpreet Sharma in a panic, with spoilers confirming a cancer scare for the teen.

Teen Amelia, who recently welcomed baby daughter Esther, finds a lump on her chest and immediately fears the worst.

As she conceals her fears, she eventually visits the medical surgery and seeks advice from neighbour Manpreet who is a doctor there.

When Amelia tells Manpreet about the lump she’s found on her upper body, the doctor refers her to the breast clinic.

Later, at the playground, Amelia receives a phone call from the clinic and they ask her to head in the following day - which she agrees to.

Amelia is left crying as she worries about her secret health fears, and worries that it could be cancer.

Her ex Noah Dingle spots her sobbing but declines to go over to her, after their dramatic split recently over Samson Dingle's games.

But will Amelia open up to Noah or anyone else, or will she head to the appointment alone?

It comes after the news that actress Daisy Campbell has signed up for another year on the ITV soap

Daisy has been on the programme for over a decade, starting in 2011 when the character was just six years old. In the recent months, Amelia became a mum at 16 when she welcomed her daughter Esther into the world.

She told The Sun: "I'd love to stay on it for as long as I can. I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier. But I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone."

Daisy joined the ITV soap when she was young, deciding to give up her performing arts college to join the soap full-time.

She said: "I went to performing arts college after my GCSEs but quickly realised that all I wanted to do was work at Emmerdale full-time, so I decided to give it up.

"There’s no better experience than working on the job so I decided to make it my priority - and I’ve not looked back."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
