Emmerdale paedophile Maya Stepney reduces Jacob Gallagher to tears with an evil threat.
In a teaser clip from Wednesday night's episode, which was shown on today's This Morning, Maya makes a shocking discovery.
The paedophile teacher is alarmed when her distraught younger lover admits he can't keep lying to his dad David Metcalfe and girlfriend Liv Flaherty.
Maya tells the schoolboy that she was worried when he failed to turn up for class.
She says: "Look at you. I can't bear to see you so unhappy. I do wish things could be different."
Unable to control his emotions, Jacob replies: "Then do something about it. I hate what we're doing to Liv and my dad. We need to tell them the truth."
Trying to play for time, Maya insists they cannot reveal the truth yet as she "will go to prison".
It finally dawns on Jacob that the teacher is continuing to play mind games with him as he questions her feelings.
"You keep saying that but it's just an excuse," claims Jacob, but Maya still protests she is being honest.
He adds: "You’ll never be with me the way I want you. If I’m wasting my time I may as well end it now."
Maya realises that she is losing control and tries more emotional blackmail.
She says: "If you love me the way that I love you, how can you even say that?"
But Jacob is done playing games and tells Maya that their illicit relationship is "over".
