Emmerdale newcomer James Chase has spoken of how his life has changed since joining the ITV soap.
Newcomer James Chase has taken on the role of Thomas King who was previously played by Mark Flanagan. The rising star admitted he was somewhat apprehensive about his first scenes in Emmerdale but now feels right at home.
Speaking to Inside Soap, James explained: “I was thankful to be filming in the village on my first day. It is such a beautiful location and that made the day special.

“To be filming in the heart of Emmerdale. It was lovely.”
Of course, being part of a famous soap opera like Emmerdale, you are soon going to be recognised. Describing the somewhat surreal experience, James added: “The first time I have been recognised was at the Soap Awards.

“I’ve had a few people look at me on trains but at the awards there were lots of fans calling my name which was exciting. We have the best fans.”
