Emmerdale newcomer Nate has been at war with Cain Dingle since his debut, with him appearing to start rows with the village favourite constantly.
Nate helped Amy get time with her son Kyle this week, after Kyle’s dad Cain threatened to stop access after an incident.
It was Nate who saved Kyle from the fume filled garage when Kyle became trapped inside.
Since the, Cain has vented at both Amy and his wife Moira over what happened, and Nate has been at loggerheads with him over it.
Viewers believe a showdown is on the cards, amid speculation Nate will sleep with Cain’s partner Moira.
While it was reported recently that a fling would happen it was never confirmed, but recent scenes have shown the pair getting closer.
Now, fans are convinced Nate is out to get Cain, using Moira and maybe even Amy as he vows to get back at him for something.
Viewers are speculating a secret vendetta or a past link between the characters, that could explain his odd behaviour.
Not only that, some fans are even wondering if he could be a long lost son back for revenge.
Taking to Twitter , one fan commented: “So I’m thinking that Nate is genuinely interested in Amy, but has some vendetta against Cain which is why he’ll deliberately try and come between him and Moira. That affair will be lust on her part but a plot by Nate.”
Another said: “By the looks of things, Cain has another son in the form of Nate by the way he’s acting towards him.”
A third agreed: “Whatever Nate's connection to Cain is, it must be bad.”
This was echoed by another fan who said: “Nate is really upset with Cain, I'm guessing Nate thinks Cain is his dad lol.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
