The lead up to the death of Andrea Tate (Andrea Nightingale) had rumours swirling for fans of the show.
Now, the ITV soap is airing scenes surrounding the aftermath of her murder.
Fans will know that it is Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) who is responsible for this tragedy.
In the storyline, the police have recently switched from treating the event like an accident to murder.
As a result, mischievous Meena has been trying her best to curtail any leads that point to her being a murder suspect.
However, recent events suggest that her time may be running out on this.
This week, we saw Meena suggest to a police officer working on Andrea’s murder investigation that Kim Tate (Claire King) could be the one who killed Andrea.
She referenced an argument that Andrea and Kim had before the popular soap’s Survival Week trip.
This led to Kim’s arrest for further questioning about her whereabouts at the time of Andrea’s death.
However, in Thursday night’s episode, police released Kim from custody after an alibi confirming she was elsewhere at the time of the maize maze incident leading to Andrea’s death.
Meena has been trying her best to position herself as an innocent victim of the maze fire and attempting to convince the investigators involved in the case that they should be questioning anyone but her.
However, with her attempt to frame Kim not going to plan, could this lead to loose ends leading back to her?
By intervening in the way that she has, is Meena setting herself up for a slip up?
What's more, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) was gobsmacked to learn of Meena’s sinister side as she revealed to him in Thursday night’s episode that she should have left Victoria to drown in the river.
Could this revelation lead to Jacob telling the police and eventually falling back on Meena?
Will she finally get her comeuppance for the deaths she has been responsible for so far?
