Emmerdale Meena's downfall predicted by fans after Andrea Tate murder twist

Emmerdale fans have predicted Meena Jutla's downfall after tonight's episode.

Wednesday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout from Super Soap Week.

Andrea Tate was killed in the dramatic maze fire after she was trying to escape the clutches of the villainous Meena.

In last night's episode, police confirmed they were treating Andrea's death as a murder and proceeded to investigate in the latest show.

The officer questioned Meena in tonight's programme - and Emmerdale fans speculated she would pin the blame on Priya who is still recovering from her injuries in hospital.

However, the Paige Sandhu character surprised everyone when she decided to frame Kim Tate for the crime.

Meena lied she saw Andrea and Kim locked in a bitter row - and that Andrea claimed she was going to take out a restraining order on her.

Emmerdale's resident villain then claimed that Kim threatened Andrea's life and warned: 'You'll need more than a restraining order to protect you'."

The police officer fell for Meena's story and wrongfully arrested Kim Tate at the end of the episode.

The character played by Claire King has developed a notorious reputation on the show as someone who shouldn't be messed with - and fans of the show took to Twitter to say how making an enemy of Kim would result in Meena's downfall.

One user said: "Think accusing Kim could be her downfall. Nobody gets the better of Kim."

Another commented : "Meena trying to take on Kim - that will end only one way!! And it won’t be Meena doing the killing!!!"

A third posted: "Kim is so much better than Meena."

A fourth added: "Meena's messing with the wrong woman framing Kim Tate for something she didn't do. she'll know about it that's for sure."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
