Emmerdale Luke Posner actor Max Parker set to become Hollywood star after landing huge new role

From Emmerdale to Hollywood, fans of the ITV soap will be able to catch Max Parker on new streaming service Peacock.

The actor, who played Luke Posner before he was dumped by Victoria Sugden and left the village, is said to currently be filming in Spain and will appear in the Vampire Academy - made by the same woman behind popular show The Vampire Diaries.

A source said: “His role is being kept hush hush but it’s a good sign Max has avoided the soap star curse so soon after leaving the Dales.”

Max quit the soap earlier this year in the hopes of making it big in Hollywood.

At the time a source told the Sun said: “Max was never going to stay on the soap for years.

“He’s ambitious and a talented guy - he’s already auditioning for new roles and excited for the future.

“But never say never - there’s always a chance he could return one day.”

Fans of Emmerdale were gutted when Max Parker exited the show after just two years.

His character Luke was outed for being gay and there were also rumours that he had been involved in his sibling's death.

Max was known to be ambitious with fans commenting on the soap's loss: ""I’m sad that Emmerdale has lost Max Parker, a talented young man with enormous appeal.

"Just the type of guy they should be fighting to keep. Instead, we’re left with the vacuum that is Mackenzie, played by an actor who should work for Dyson he sucks so much."
