Emmerdale lines up double exit as two characters flee after murder twist

Emmerdale seemingly confirmed a double exit was on the way on Wednesday, as one character booked a taxi out of the village.

Amy Wyatt packed her bags and urged young son Kyle to do the same, before she found his passport and made a big decision.

She was heard on the phone booking a taxi to the airport, appearing to confirm she will run away with Kyle.

Just days ago a shocking bombshell saw Cain Dingle's young son Kyle, aged 10, revealed to be Al Chapman's real killer.

This week scenes have shown Amy struggling with the fact her child had accidentally shot and killed Al, the partner of her mother Kerry Wyatt.

But after contemplating taking Kyle away from the village, Amy made a decision during Wednesday's episode.

As the taxi service answered the call, Amy booked a ride from her current location and asked them to come as soon as possible.

She also told Kyle to pack anything he "couldn't live without", having already packed her own stuff up – claiming she was going to her mum's house.

Amy's intentions are clear, with her desperate to get Kyle away from the village before he confesses to anyone else – but will the pair be gone for good?

Emmerdale had teased the possible twist on Tuesday, after a plea from another character.

Amy was so troubled as she went to see Cain in prison, and soon spilled that she was now in on the dark secret.

Cain was horrified that after taking the blame for his son, Kyle had now confessed his crime.

After securing Amy's silence, Cain begged her to run away with Kyle while they still could, leaving her stunned.

Amy warned Cain's wife Moira about his plea for her to run away with Kyle, hinting she would be doing just that.

As Amy returned later with Kyle after picking him up from school, Moira was relieved to see they were still there.

Moira did her best to reassure Amy that Kyle was better off staying at the house with her, and running away would be a bad idea.

Amy seemed to be won around by Moira's vow to stand by her and her plan to keep Kyle's secret under wraps.

So how will Moira react if Amy does leave with her son, and will they leave for good?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
