Emmerdale legend Jeff Hordley has spoken of the former co-star he’d love to see return to the soap.
Jeff Hordley, 52, has been a firm fixture in Emmerdale, playing Cain Dingle over the last two decades. He’s seen his fair share of actors come and go down the years.
Jeff has spoken to RadioTimes about Cain’s link to daughter Debbie Dingle - played by Charley Webb. As Emmerdale fans know, Charley confirmed her Emmerdale exit earlier this year.

But Jeff is hopeful the character of Debbie might be seen back in the village at some point down the line. "When his daughter Debbie was dating Jasmine (played by Jenna Coleman), Cain didn't approve and decided he would get back at her by stealing her girlfriend – looking back now, I don't think he would've done that.
"He loves Debbie too much to hurt her," he claimed. "But Cain is flawed, so I just have to find the reasons behind what he does. No one gets through to him like Debbie does, and I'd love Charley Webb, who plays her, to come back."

Earlier this year, we brought you news of Charley’s first major role since leaving Emmerdale. She was spotted filming in Leeds for a new ITV drama on the Yorkshire Ripper.
She was spotted playing a police officer in the drama which will be set in the 1970s. We’ll bring you more on the show when we have further details.
