Emmerdale Jai slammed as he blames Ben for disaster

Emmerdale fans were left furious during Wednesday's episode as Jai tried to pass blame onto Ben for the rope bridge collapse.

Boss Jai called Ben into a meeting, where Ben happily appeared not sensing the accusations that were about to be put on him.

Jai explained that health and safety wise, the bridge was all signed off as safe, with Ben's signature on the risk assessment.

He also accused Ben of failing to supervise the bridge, to which he said: "But I made sure that everyone knew there should only be two people on there."

Jai asked why there were four, and Ben replied that they didn't listen, but Jai batted all of Ben's excuses back at him, adamant that he was to blame.

Fans were angry about how Jai was treating Ben and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Ryan said: "Jai is being unreasonable it's not all Ben's fault. He was watching the bridge and told people that there should of only been 2 people on the bridge. David and Victoria just failed to listen to instructions. #Emmerdale."

Another user said: "Jai will have no staff left if he keeps speaking to all his employees like that #Emmerdale."

Polly said: "Jai showing his true colours. Nasty. Always was. #Emmerdale."

Jamie said: "#Emmerdale Nice one, Ben. You tell Jai how it is. You shouldn’t be made a scapegoat. HOP is Jai’s business and he should be held accountable for the bridge collapse and not offload on you."

The rope bridge was hanging across a canyon, and collapsed as Manpreet Sharma, Charles Anderson, Victoria Barton and David Metcalfe were all trying to cross.

*Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
