Emmerdale: Huge mistake spotted as Meena holds Vinny hostage

Emmerdale fans all spotted the same mistake during Monday's episode, as Meena held Vinny and Manpreet hostage in a disused barn.

In a bid to keep her secret, Meena vowed to kill them both, going into detail about how Vinny's life would end.

Meena's sister Manpreet has been held hostage for a month, first in Wendy's house and then moved to the barn.

The two now look set to join Meena's other victims Leanna Cavanagh, Nadine, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.

Vinny had followed Meena to the barn in Sam Dingle's old van.

As he and Manpreet lay tied up in the straw, Vinny tried to engage in a conversation with Meena, explaining his family would come to find him once they realised he was missing.

But the evil nurse didn't seem to agree. She said: "And how will they know where to come? Are you gonna tell me that wreck of a van has a tracker?"

Vinny then dropped himself in it. He said: "No, but phones do."

His face dropped as he realised what he had done, while Meena immediately took his phone from him.

Manpreet was clearly gutted as their last chance of getting help was taken away.

Taking to Twitter, some soap fans could not believe what Vinny had done.

Leah Allen said: "Why would Vinny let Meena know they have a phone?"

Andy Gibson said: "You are an idiot, Vinny. Don't tell Meena about your phone."

RainyShed said: "Why bring it up instead of hanging it out for more tracing time?"

VampLover27 said: "Hasn't Vinny's phone for the SOS function which automatically calls the emergency services to your location? Time for an upgrade Vinny lad."

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub with an additional episode at 8pm on Thursdays
