Emmerdale horror fire at The Woolpack set to shock the village this Christmas

We might soon see the end of iconic Emmerdale pub The Woolpack with a major fire set to engulf the boozer as part of a huge Christmas storyline.

As Emmerdale fans know, Al Chapman, played by Michael Wildman, has recently invested in the Woolpack - joining cousins Marlon and Charity Dingle overseeing it.

The investment from a new source was needed after the venue suffered financial difficulties during the coronavirus pandemic.

There’s been a lot of cutbacks since Al joined the team with Marlon regularly having his nose put out of joint by the new measures.

It is thought, Al wanted to convert the Woolie into luxury flats and is quite happy with the business going down the pan.

Whether he’s involved or not, we don’t know, but the Metro reports there will be a major fire at the Woolpack this Christmas which will leave the village pub facing an uncertain future.

ITV teased: “It’s the season of good will, but the underhanded Al Chapman goes sparing on dishing out any joy, particularly when he is feeling under so much pressure.

“Will Al find a solution for his financial problems or could his world collapse?”

Viewers might remember there was a fire back in the Woolpack in 1998 caused by fireworks going off at the pub.

We’ll bring you more on what the future holds for the iconic Emmerdale pub when we know more.
