A former Emmerdale favourite would love to return to the ITV soap.
Gaynor Faye, 49, played Megan Macey in Emmerdale before quitting the role back in 2019. She’s currently starring in the latest series of the BBC drama The Syndicate - written by Gaynor’s mother Kay Mellor.
Gaynor has discussed her exit from Emmerdale with the People and how likely a return to the show would be.

“It was a really tough decision,” she said.
“To be able to do a job that you love in your hometown is very rare. But I couldn’t have stayed and done Band Of Gold (the theatre show), so I didn’t have a choice.
“I really hoped I could have done that and stayed at Emmerdale but it wasn’t possible. And they left the door open for me.”
Asked whether Gaynor would rule out a return to Emmerdale she gave an adamant answer.
She replied: “Absolutely not – it’s a great job.”
Soap fans will remember Gaynor played Judy Mallett in Coronation for four years before the character died in 1999. A return would feel unlikely but Gaynor insisted anything is possible in soapland.
“I wouldn’t have ruled out going back to Coronation Street but I died.” she said.
“I’m a big believer of if it’s meant to be, it will happen.”
We’ll keep you posted on Gaynor’s possible return to Emmerdale or Corrie.
