Emmerdale fans 'work out' who goes to prison for Al Chapman's murder

Emmerdale fans think Cain Dingle will get out of prison, after a dramatic episode aired on Boxing Day.

Cain is currently banged up despite being innocent. He is covering for his son, Kyle, who shot Al Chapman dead in scenes that aired in October.

Monday's instalment of Emmerdale saw viewers taken back in time to when Cain and his sister Chas Dingle were children. Chas was also introduced to her brother Caleb Milligan who made it clear he was full of remorse over Cain.

Later, Cain admitted to his partner Moira Barton he had a long-lost brother who had visited him in prison. He explained Caleb had written him letters in prison when he found out their mother Faith Dingle had died.

Moira was left stunned when Cain admitted he had known about Caleb for 30 years. A flashback was later shown of the moment a young Cain in 1991 was willing to take the fall for Caleb's mistake when the latter stole a car.

Cain was arrested and was subsequently sent to prison as the car had been used by his boss to commit a robbery without him knowing. Chas recalled: "When he came out, he was different. He was always hard, but somehow it got worse."

Caleb started to blame himself, which caused viewers to believe he might try and get Cain released from prison, the Express reports. Taking to Twitter, Swalk said: "I’m guessing this Caleb storyline will eventually lead to Cain’s release? #Emmerdale."

Ryan said: "Moira in bed on her own. Hopefully, Caleb will help to release Cain from prison. #Emmerdale." Laura said: "Caleb is going to help his brother, he owes him".

Will Caleb take the fall for Al's murder to make it up to Cain?
