Emmerdale fans are convinced they know the real reason Nicky decided to make up with his dad Caleb following last week's shock attack.
Caleb was recently pushed off a cliff and after many suspects it was revealed that his own son Nicky was the one who pushed him and nearly killed his own father.
Caleb was in disbelief when he found out and was unsure whether to snitch on him to the police or let Mack take the rap for it all.

During tonight’s episode of the ITV hit soap, Caleb decided to make up a story about how he'd fallen on his own accord during a hike in the woods.
Earlier in the episode, Caleb defied doctors' orders by checking himself out of the hospital, but not before telling half-sister Chas he recognised "how important family is", while a concerned Nicky watched.
Once he was back in the village, Caleb tried to make peace with Cain but his brother wanted none of it. To protect his son, Caleb claimed that a deer had struck him on the walk.
The police had no choice but to close the case. Later, Nicky brought around dinner to try to make amends with his father once and for all. He apologised properly for what he'd done with Caleb also regretting getting Nicky involved in his plot against Kim Tate.
Father and son soon made peace, as Caleb vowed that he'd make things right with Cain and the other Dingles next. Viewers are convinced that Nicky only made things right with Caleb because he had nowhere else to go.
