Emmerdale fans 'work out' character exit looming as Belle rumbles Al and Chas affair

The Emmerdale shock affair between Chas Dingle and Al Chapman has finally been revealed on the Dales.

The cat is out of the bag for Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Al ( Michael Wildman ) in Emmerdale after Belle ( Eden Taylor-Draper ) spotted the pair during an illicit rendezvous.

Chas and Al have been meeting in secret for weeks, unbeknownst to their partners, but were spotted during Monday night’s episode seeing them leaving a hotel together after a secret afternoon tryst.

Yet, unbeknownst to the pair, Belle was also in the hotel foyer and saw the pair kiss before leaving separately.

Emmerdale fans were stunned the secret affair was finally out, with many taking to Twitter to predict it could have huge ramifications for the villagers on the Dales.

One fan wrote: “Belle has spotted the cheats Al and Chas.. go and confront them belle. And tell all to paddy immediately!”

A second wrote: “FINALLY someone has caught them out! Belle should've took a video of it and sent it to Paddy or Cain or someone else! Now just gotta wait for everyone to find out.”

Another fan predicted that the revelation could pave the way for one character to make their exit from the soap – Al’s partner Kerry, played by Laura Norton, who has now announced she is pregnant with her second child.

A fan wrote: “So with the actress playing Kerry being pregnant in real life her exit will be finding out about Al cheating and either leaving with him to start a fresh or killing him (he is playing in xmas Panto in Sunderland so must be at least having a break).”

Another even predicted there could be a pregnancy twist on the horizon, with Chas and Al having to face the consequences of their actions.

Will Belle keep knowledge of the affair to herself? (ITV)

Will Belle keep knowledge of the affair to herself, or will she turn Paddy and Kerry’s worlds upside down?

This comes after Emmerdale actor Michael Wildman’s comments about his character Al’s deep feelings for Chas mean he’s in it for the long haul.

He said: “He's going to have some hard choices to make, and I think the fact that Al is so in love with Chas will make him fight for her.

“Part of me would love a happy ending for them as Al's pushing 50 years old – he needs to settle down!”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV.
