Emmerdale fans are keen for David Metcalfe to dump Meena Jutla after she almost ruined Liam Cavanagh's proposal to Leyla Harding.
During Tuesday's episode, Meena (Paige Sandhu) was seen gatecrashing a romantic date that Liam had set up in the pub garden as she was convinced Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) was still interested in David (Matthew Wolfenden).
Realising that Meena was kicking off, David tried to defuse the situation but Meena was having none of it and demanded to know why David had been in Leyla's house - and why they had just been blowing kisses to each other.
As Meena pressed David for an explanation, Liam (Jonny McPherson) jumped in and admitted that David was doing it for him.
David then revealed that the reason he had been in Leyla's house while she was in the shower, was because he needed to temporarily steal one of her rings as Liam was proposing.
Viewers tuning in at home were fuming that Liam's big surprise had been ruined and urged David to dump Meena immediately.
"Seriously David .. Please dump this t*at Meena #emmerdale," one person tweeted.
"If I was David, I would’ve dumped Meena weeks ago! #emmerdale," a second viewer wrote.
A third person added: "Really hope David dumps Meena #Emmerdale."
And a fourth viewer penned: "Doubt David will be your boyfriend for much longer love - if he's got any sense he'll get rid #Emmerdale."
Another viewer asked: "Why on earth is David with Meena #emmerdale."
And it seems David might be asking himself the same question as at the end of the episode he told Meena that he needs some space.
"Maybe you’ve just ruined something else that was supposed to be perfect," he told his girlfriend as she offered to apologise to Liam and Leyla.
“Go home, I’ll call," he told Meena. "Just a little space, maybe for the best."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
